Covert Ops in general open up whole playstyle opportunities that basically only existed for Rogue in AoW3.įunny because almost every positive you list is a negative and vice versa, so i guess it's just opinion Economy is more balanced, with less snowballing and way more ways to sabotage and cripple the opponents. ![]() There's overall more ways to win in planetfall whereas in AoW3 it was basically just conquest since the AI just didn't care about anything else. Modding adds a fantastic new dynamic to units that drastically improves upon what you could do with units in AoW3. Better diplomacy and politics with influence instead of just throwing money around ineffectively. Better unit balance with core units still being relevant right through to the endgame. The only thing AoW3 really has over it is that the race + class dynamic offered more variation than planetfall's race+tech dynamic, but AoW3 also has a few expansions of new races and classes.
